Chalvington with Ripe Parish is made up of three communities, Chalvington, Ripe and Deanland Wood of which we are equally proud.

The Parish Council is to consider providing modest grants to local Clubs & Associations in support of their services in providing local leisure and other activities at its Full Council Meeting in November.

Applications in writing are invited, which should be addressed to the Clerk's Office at 31 Banner Way, Stone Cross, Pevensey BN24 5FE. Please include the amount requested, together with details of how the funds will be used and a copy of the accounts of the Club/Association.

These applications should be delivered or sent to the Clerk's Office by Wednesday 1st November, so that they can be considered for inclusion in the next round of grant distributions (in late Spring 2018).

‘The Uckfield Art Group will be holding their Autumn Exhibition on Saturday, 4 November between 10am - 4pm at the Luxford Centre, Library Way, Uckfield, TN22 1AR.

Admission is free and all visitors will be most welcome to view the art work including paintings, cards and other work which will be on sale. A childrens activiity table and refreshments will also be available.’

Notice of Planning Application
A planning application has been submitted to Wealden District Council for change of use of the Lamb Public House in Ripe to residential use and also the erection of a semi detached dwellings located in the present car park.

The agent for the owner will have the plans available for inspection in the Hayton Baker Hall in Ripe on Saturday 16th September from 10:00am to 13:00pm

If you would like to see the plans and ask the agent any questions please come along to the hall.
Also the plans are available to be viewed on the Wealden DC Planning Dept web site under the planning Number : WD/2017/0466/F

The application will be considered at the next Parish Council meeting to be held on Monday 2th October at 7:30pm in the Hayton Baker Hall in Ripe.
